Signs West Low Voltage LED Lighting VS Neon

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

This up close shot of the Pilates and Yoga store front main ID electrical sign depicts how low voltage LED strings are replacing Neon as a lighting source. ” You get more then twice the useful life from a LED lit pan channel letter then you do from a Neon lit, at the same time your cutting your power consumption by more then 70% ” Said Doug Petsco of Signs West. In a town of glitter and glitz like Las Vegas, Nevada, Neon will always have it’s dynamic appeal over low voltage LED, but for those store fronts and internal lit signs that require less wow factor this is the way to go. More and more store fronts, casino operators and advertising display systems are going green with Signs West low voltage LED lighting alternatives.

Signs West Adds Finishing Touch With Custom ADA Signs.

Tuesday, March 10th, 2009

Signs West offers custom theme ADA signs that enhance a buildings look or feel. Since the American Disability Act went in place many ADA signs were your average run of the mill standard 1 color rectangular shape type sign. Signs West multi division capabilities allows Signs West to offer up some really nice interior finishes that will bring the overall environment together. “ It’s easy to be creative outdoor, there really is no limit as to what may be achieved visually, indoor is more challenging “ said Signs West President Mark Yurik “ Your faced with many requirements and limitations that must all come together to achieve an end result “ “ A slew of codes, limitations on heights, color contrast, fire ratings and positioning all come into play indoors, this is where the challenge becomes the reward. Signs West wanted to escape the mundane and apply visual creativity to the interiors of all buildings and structures, so far it’s been a great success “. Aside from some wall murals printed on commercial grade wall paper to code the above pic is that of a batch of ADA signs being quality checked prior to install. Notice the simple yet custom appeal of the signs. Signs West technology allows the printed finish of a desired theme. From metal to rock to a vivid design, it all comes together. Signs West precision routers then take over to landscape and cut out the shapes and intricate parts that will make up the final ADA sign. No more mundane looks. Signs West will add a theme look to all interior signage that pulls the property together, after all signs are that finishing touch that will highlight all developments, large or small. Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

Doug Petsco of Signs West was quick to take up Key Motorsports offer for complimentary Pit Passes to the Nationwide Series NASCAR Races this last Weekend at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Doug snapped off this photo of the # 40 Nascar of Scott Wimmer. Signs West Wrapped this vehicle last week for Key Motorsports. Here’s what Doug had to say in an email ” Yes, another first for SignsWest Inc. Our Vehicle Wraps Department has expanded to Nascar. This past weekend as the Nascar Sprint Cup & Nationwide Series came to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway  SignsWest was approached with a difficult task, to design & wrap a Nascar Nationwide Series race car.The race team was scheduled for pratcice at the Speedway on Friday the 27th, the car was delivered to our shop on the afternoon of the 24th. The design team went to work on colors and lay out right away and by late afternoon of the 26th, the Scott Wimmer # 40, Federated Monte Carlo was ready for the weekend of racing at the Speedway. Key Motorsports was very pleased with the speed and attention to detail that went into the design & wrap of the car. The high quality 3M products that SignsWest uses rose to the occasion also, the car looked as good after the race as it did when Scott qualified it. It must of had a little SignsWest luck in it, as the Nationwide race was filled with a record breaking number of Yellow caution flags and two Red flags, due to a number of wrecks. The #40 Federated Monte Carlo made it through them all with a very respectful 11th place finish, congratulations to Scott & the team. SignsWest is scheduled to wrap a Nascar transporter and trailer next month for another race, more photo’s and details to follow on that project.  “. Doug is lead Install Manager for Signs West. Doug has pretty much installed every single Sign, LED, Neon, Casino Pylon and Face in and on the Las Vgeas Strip for over 30 years. As you see, Doug and many of Signs West personnel are motor heads. From Harley rides to offroad racing to building and restoring cars. It’s hard to find someone here at Signs West who is not into motor sports. Ironically Linda’s ( Human Resources at Signs West ) husbands Mustang made the cover of ” modified Mustang ” in 08′.
