Signs West, Inc Reaches New Heights With Marriott Sign Install

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

For all you Big Air fanatics on our blog, here’s the latest to wet your appetite. This Marriott Sign was lifted some 280′ ( That’s 28 stories up ! ) in the air by Signs West, Inc big air install crew. For those of you who want to know how this is done, look for the release of this install to hit YouTube in a few days ( under title: Signs West, Inc big air ) or a link will be provided here ( UPDATE 7-31-09 : Here’s the Big Air link to youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRZ9lkoVkHA this shows how a Sign is installed 28 story’s up, enjoy ), it’s complete, .  Like a professional sports team, you really must be on your game to perform on any of Signs West, Inc. big air installs. Careful planning, weather, wind and weight ( load ) all come into play. Then when the weather cleared an opening in the defensive line from a rainy week before, the flat bed truck was handed the sign and drove up the road with cranes and booms leading the way, the sign was quickly lateraled to the 125′ boom which lifted if up to a swing stage that pulled it up the final 280′ to score so to speak.  ( A special thanks go out to Tony Elder who drew up the play and to Doug Petsco and the big air offense for driving in for another score ).

Wyndham World Mark Custom Entry Way Directory By Signs West, Inc.

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

This typical entry way directory was custom fabricated for Wyndham. Signs West, Inc. provided initial designs, then once approved began fabrication. The faces are CNC routed from .125 aluminum stock, then our custom fabrication department rolled and welded in the framing and supports prior to the finial finish coating. While this fabrication was taking shape with interior lighting, Signs West, Inc. flat bed print systems kicked in to direct print the full color directory maps onto the lexan reverse lit face inserts you see above. In the old days it would take a pain staking silk screen set up on numerous screens to strategically lay in each translucent color. With modern technology it’s all completed in a mater minutes once final art work is finalized and pre-pressed. Just another typical illuminated Signs West, Inc. custom fabricated directory to fire and city code.

Wireless Company Re-Brands Providing Plenty Of Work For Signs West, Inc.

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

Looks like wireless is in, many of the global gns, and national wireless companies are in a mass re-branding stage. Signs West, Inc. has and continues to provide these national drop ship accounts with turn key sign solutions and service. ( This T-Mobile store front light cabinet above came via Royal Sign Co. ) We did some Cricket, AT & T and T-Mobile. We provide sign site surveys, special use permits, permits and installation. Providing accurate data means signs/brands arrive to code. After all, if one were in Boulder a Pylon may not exceed a 4′ height in certain area’s where as in Las Vegas it can not exceed the roof line in some areas. Knowing the sign codes in all jurisdictions has its advantages. Signs West, Inc. continues to gain momentum in the corporate drop ship space. ” It’s nice to know, all we do is pick up the phone and call on Signs West, Inc. they take it from there. They tend to consistently get it right the first time or we get a call outlining reasonable delays that we have found to be outside both our control like inclement weather or awaiting weld certification prior to skin, the point is Signs West, Inc. contacts us ahead of time and keeps us in the loop ” Said Boris, who didn’t want his last name out there saying ” If my VP knew that Signs West, Inc. was this efficient then my purpose may be in question ” Boris laughed jokingly saying ” it’s my job to seek out and find companies like Signs West, Inc. who deliver real value, when a sub comes through with little to no problems it improves my golf game, I like that ”. ( Signs West Project Manager: Doug Tamburo / Drop Shipper Royal Sign Co. ).

Signs West, Inc. Knocks Out 6 KOA Front Lit Billboards Same Day

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

When Signs West, Inc. Tawnya Rosenthal got the call she said ” sure, send over the art files on our FTP link and we will begin printing “. Once the artwork arrived via Signs West, Inc. FTP link, these billboards were pre-pressed / RIP’d and sent to the print room. A Signs West, Inc. VuTek5330 ( 16′ roll printer ) was called into play and was loaded with a front lit billboard substrate and the next thing you know the job was printed and sent to finishing in back to be ready for install the next day. Not so long ago giant drums use to spin out these big designs on billboard poster material and scrim. Today it’s done with massive printers that cure the print as it feeds off the rollers in the blink of an eye. Did you just blink ?
