Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

Who said they want their name in lights ? Steve Madden did and when the last minute call came in for a exhibit trade show display illuminated custom tracer lighting display cabinet Signs West came thru in flashing bulbs so to speak. This custom build cabinet with raised individual copy with inset lighting was turned with 3 days notice. In the exhibit trade show industry this is common practice. There is always going to be last minute request. Our goal is to be known as a solutions provider to the Las Vegas trade show industry attendees. ” One fun story I like to share was a call came in late one Friday, A company wanted over 20,000 sq feet of Supreme Mesh and Scrim printed for a massive exhibit display along with exterior collateral finished to spec that an out of State competitor unfortunately printed and shipped wrong, as the booth was being set up, I recall thinking wow, 20,000 sq feet, we want this job so it was quoted low, the gentleman immediately laughed and told me, look if you will guarantee you will be able to color match our Corporate files he sent via our FTP link and finish the requested large format printing then double your price but have it on the docks by 7 a m Monday ” said Mark Yurik of Signs West ” First you think your being laughed at for the price, which we priced to earn the job, 20,000 sq feet of print is what we like but instead it wasn’t about price it was about executing the order with a drop dead deadline ” Mark would not release the name of the Fortune 500 company that placed the order but this is a true story. On that Monday the client received the entire printing request to color and finished specs. The person was impressed and may have named dropped us because over the next few months we were getting large bid request which we won from some really big names !
